Summary

We try our best to make sure children stay with family as nobody wants to put them in a home, but sometimes there is nobody and this is why we try our best to be different. Our children's home is made up of 15 houses that sleep up to 8 children, each house has two house mothers that cooks and responsible for the children so it feel like a family home, on site we have additional resources to help then engage with everyone but the family feeling is so important to this project. 

Challenge
It's the last resort but it happens, children are left with nobody to support or care for them, and this is when they are brought to our home. Traditionally children’s homes are crowded and limited on resources which means large dorm style rooms. The number of children needing to be re-homed in Africa is constantly growing and a big concern for us.

Solution
Our home is important to give children as close as possible to a normal life, on our site we have 15 houses all with gardens and space and that home two house mothers. To give a feeling of family life no more than 8 children are resident to one house, on site we have also provided homework centers, exam prep rooms, computer lab and other resources to help the children after school gain more skills and become attractive to employers.

Long-Term Impact
Long term these children will grow up in a family environment and providing extra resources will learn and become successful in the future to help them understand the importance of family when they have children.
